Workspace Calendar

The Workspace Calendar provides a monthly timeline view of all tasks across your workspace projects. Visualize deadlines, track due dates, and understand your team's workload distribution at a glance.

Accessing the Calendar

The Calendar is available as a tab within the Workspace Dashboard. Select the Calendar tab from the dashboard navigation to view the monthly calendar view.

Overview

The calendar aggregates tasks from all projects in your workspace, displaying them based on their start and due dates. Multi-day tasks appear as continuous bars spanning their duration, making it easy to see project timelines and identify scheduling conflicts.

Header Statistics

At the top of the calendar, two counters provide quick statistics:

  • Tasks: Total number of tasks with dates in the current month
  • Projects: Number of projects with scheduled tasks this month

Month Navigation

Navigate between months using the controls in the header:

  • Previous arrow (←): Move to the previous month
  • Next arrow (→): Move to the next month
  • Month label: Displays the current month and year (e.g., "January 2025")
  • Today button: Jump back to the current month

Calendar Grid

Weekday Headers

The top row displays abbreviated day names (Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat) to orient you within the week.

Day Cells

Each cell in the grid represents one day:

  • Day number: Displayed in the top-left corner of each cell
  • Today indicator: Current date highlighted with a blue circle around the number
  • Task count badge: Green badge showing how many tasks start or are active on that day
  • Adjacent month days: Days from previous/next months appear dimmed

Multi-Day Event Bars

Tasks with start and end dates spanning multiple days display as colored horizontal bars:

  • Bars stretch across all days the task spans
  • Color indicates workflow status:
  • Green: Completed tasks
  • Blue: In-progress tasks
  • Gray: Open/pending tasks
  • Task code displays at the start of the bar
  • Click any bar to open the task

Overflow Indicator

When a day has more tasks than can display, a "+X more" indicator appears at the bottom of the cell.

Selecting a Date

Click any day cell to:

  1. Select that date (highlighted with distinct background)
  2. Open a side drawer showing all tasks active on that date

Task Drawer

When you select a date, a drawer slides in from the right showing tasks for that day:

Drawer Header

  • Date label: Full date in format "Wednesday, January 15, 2025"
  • Task count: Badge showing number of tasks
  • Close button: X icon to close the drawer

Task Table

Lists all tasks with columns:

Click any row to open the full task detail panel.

Empty State

When no tasks exist for the selected date, a message indicates "No tasks" with a calendar icon.

Task Display Logic

Tasks appear on the calendar based on their dates:

  • Single-date tasks: Appear only on their due date
  • Date range tasks: Span from start date to due date as continuous bars
  • Week continuation: Tasks continuing from previous weeks show the code again at the start of each new week row
