Project Health

Monitor the health of your projects by tracking overdue tasks, stale items without recent activity, and inactive projects. This view helps managers identify and address issues before they escalate.

Overview

The Project Health page provides a comprehensive view of potential issues across all projects in your workspace. The dashboard highlights tasks that need attention and projects that may have stalled.

The header displays three key metrics:

Overdue count: Number of tasks past their due date (shown in red when > 0)
Stale count: Number of tasks with no recent activity (shown in yellow when > 0)
Avg Score: Average health score across all projects

Health Distribution Chart

A donut chart visualizing how projects are distributed across health categories. The chart shows the proportion of projects in each health state:

Healthy (green): Projects with few or no issues
Warning (yellow): Projects with some overdue or stale tasks
Critical (red): Projects with significant issues requiring attention

Hover over segments to see the exact counts.

Project Health Scores

A list of all projects ordered by health score (lowest first), allowing you to quickly focus on projects needing attention:

Project Information

Each row displays:

Project Logo: Visual identifier
Project Name: The project name (truncated if long)
Overdue Tasks: Count of overdue tasks in red (if any)
Stale Tasks: Count of stale tasks in yellow (if any)
Health Score: A numeric score (0-100) with color-coded background:
Green background: Healthy status
Yellow background: Warning status
Red background: Critical status

Click any project row to open that project in a new tab.

Overdue Tasks

When tasks exist past their due date, this section displays a list with:

Task Code: Unique identifier for the task
Task Title: Name of the task
Project Name: Which project the task belongs to
Days Late: How many days past due (format: "3d late" or "1d 5h late")

Click any task row to open the task details drawer.

Stale Tasks

Tasks without recent activity are listed separately:

Task Code: Unique identifier for the task
Task Title: Name of the task
Project Name: Which project the task belongs to
No Activity Duration: How long since last update (format: "7d no activity")

Stale tasks may indicate blocked work or items that need follow-up. Click any task row to open the task details.

Inactive Projects

Projects with no recent activity are highlighted:

Project Logo: Visual identifier
Project Name: The project name
Open Tasks: Count of tasks still open in the project
Inactive Duration: How long since any activity (format: "14d inactive")

Inactive projects with open tasks may need attention to determine if they should be resumed or closed. Click to navigate to the project.

All Clear State

When there are no overdue tasks, no stale tasks, and no inactive projects, the page displays a success message with a green checkmark icon indicating all projects are healthy.

Refreshing Data

Click the refresh button in the header (circular arrow icon) to reload the health data. The button displays a spinner during the refresh.

Understanding Health Scores

The health score (0-100) is calculated based on:

Number of overdue tasks relative to total tasks
Number of stale tasks relative to total tasks
Recent activity levels

Higher scores indicate healthier projects. Projects with scores below 70 are in warning state, and those below 40 are in critical state.

Use Cases

Daily Health Check

Review the header counters each morning:

Check if overdue count increased overnight
Note any new stale tasks
Click into overdue tasks list to prioritize

Weekly Project Review

Use the Project Health Scores section to:

Identify projects with declining health
Click into concerning projects for investigation
Address systemic issues across multiple projects

Addressing Stale Work

When stale task count grows:

Review the Stale Tasks list
Click into each task to understand the blocker
Update tasks with next steps or close if no longer needed
Follow up with assignees if necessary
