Workspace Reports
Visualize and analyze project metrics across your workspace through interactive charts and data tables. The Reports view provides three analytical perspectives to help you understand project health, workflow trends, and team activity patterns.
Overview
The Reports page displays aggregated analytics from all projects in your workspace. Use these visualizations to identify bottlenecks, monitor progress, and understand work patterns over time.
Page Header
At the top, the header shows:
- Workspace name: Your current workspace context
- Title: "Reports"
- Reports icon: Visual identifier for this section
Tab Navigation
Three report types are available through tabs below the header:
- Project Age: Analyze project duration and completion status
- Cumulative Flow: Track task status changes over time
- Weekly Activity: View activity patterns in a heatmap format
Click any tab to switch between report views. Your selected tab persists across page visits.
Project Age Analysis
The default view showing how long projects have been active relative to their completion percentage.
Scatter Chart
The main visualization plots each project as a point:
- X-axis (horizontal): Project age in days
- Y-axis (vertical): Completion percentage (0-100%)
- Point size: Larger points indicate more total tasks
Projects in the lower-right area (old with low completion) may need attention. The chart highlights a "stagnant zone" in red for projects over 90 days old with less than 50% completion.
Summary Statistics
Above the chart, two indicators show:
- Stagnant count: Number of projects flagged as stagnant (displayed in red)
- Total projects: Total number of projects in the workspace
Project Table
Below the chart, a detailed table lists all projects with columns:
Project: Project logo, name (clickable to navigate), and stagnant badge if applicable
Age: How long since project creation (e.g., "45d 2h 30m")
Completion: Visual progress bar with percentage showing done tasks versus total
Tasks: Fraction showing completed tasks out of total (e.g., "23/50")
Status: Project status badge (Active, Completed, On Hold)
Stagnant projects display with a subtle red background for quick identification.
Cumulative Flow Diagram
Track how tasks move through workflow statuses over time.
Period Selection
Use the dropdown in the sub-header to select the time range:
- 14 days
- 30 days (default)
- 60 days
- 90 days
Line Chart
Three colored lines represent task counts over time:
- Red (Open): Tasks waiting to be started
- Yellow (In Progress): Tasks currently being worked on
- Green (Done): Completed tasks
The area under each line is filled with a subtle gradient. Hover over any point to see exact counts for that date.
Reading the Chart
A healthy workflow shows:
- Decreasing "Open" line as tasks get started
- Stable "In Progress" line (not growing uncontrollably)
- Steadily increasing "Done" line
If "In Progress" keeps growing while "Done" stays flat, work may be stalling.
Empty State
When no data exists for the selected period, a message indicates no task activity was recorded.
Weekly Activity Heatmap
Visualize work intensity across projects and weeks in a GitHub-style contribution graph.
Activity Overview Header
Shows summary metrics:
- Last 30 Days: The time period covered
- Inactive count: Projects with no recent activity (shown in yellow)
- Total projects: Number of projects displayed
Activity Grid
A table where:
- Rows: Each project in your workspace
- Columns: Each week in the last 30 days
- Cells: Color-coded squares showing activity intensity
Activity Cells
Each cell represents one project's activity for one week:
- Empty (gray): No activity
- Level 1 (dark green): 1-2 activities
- Level 2 (medium green): 3-5 activities
- Level 3 (light green): 6-10 activities
- Level 4 (bright green): 11+ activities
Hover over any cell to see the exact activity count.
Project Column
Each row starts with:
- Project logo
- Project name (clickable to navigate)
- "Idle" badge for inactive projects
Total Column
The rightmost column shows each project's total activity count for the displayed period.
Legend
At the bottom, a color scale legend shows intensity levels from "Less" to "More" activity.
Navigation
Click any project name in the reports to open that project in a new tab. The navigation maintains your current workspace context.
Use Cases
Identifying At-Risk Projects
Use Project Age to find old projects with low completion. The stagnant indicator helps prioritize which projects need intervention.
Monitoring Workflow Health
Use Cumulative Flow to ensure work moves through your pipeline. Growing "In Progress" with flat "Done" indicates a bottleneck.
Understanding Team Activity
Use Weekly Activity to see which projects are receiving attention and which may be neglected. Idle projects may need reassignment or archival.
Sprint Planning
Before starting a new sprint, review reports to understand current workload distribution and identify capacity for new work.
Best Practices
- Check weekly: Regular review helps catch problems early
- Act on stagnant projects: Either complete, archive, or re-scope them
- Balance the heatmap: Ensure important projects show consistent activity
- Use alongside standup: Reports complement daily status discussions
