Projects Health
Monitor active project health across your agency. Track budget usage, task progress, and deadlines with the Projects Health dashboard tab.
The Projects tab shows the health status of every active project across your agency. Quickly identify which projects are on track, at warning, or critical.
Portfolio Health Summary
Aggregate view at the top:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Active | Number of active projects |
| Healthy | Projects with budget usage < 75% |
| Warning | Projects with budget usage 75-90% |
| Critical | Projects with budget usage 90-100% |
| Over Budget | Projects exceeding 100% budget |
Health Status Thresholds
Project health is determined by budget usage percentage:
| Status | Budget Usage | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Healthy | < 75% | On track |
| Warning | 75-90% | Approaching budget limit |
| Critical | 90-100% | Near or at budget limit |
| Over Budget | > 100% | Budget exceeded |
Budget usage = (hours used ÷ budget hours) × 100
Project Grid
Each project card displays:

| Budget Usage | Visual bar showing percentage consumed |
| Hours | Used hours / Budget hours |
| Tasks | Completed tasks / Total tasks |
| Progress | Task completion percentage |
| Deadline | Days remaining or days overdue |
| Health Badge | Healthy, Warning, Critical, or Over Budget |

Understanding Each Metric
Budget Usage
Compares logged hours against budget hours:
- 50% = Half the budget used
- 100% = Budget exhausted
- 120% = 20% over budget
Task Progress
Completed tasks divided by total tasks:
- Shows how much work is done
- Compare to budget usage for efficiency check
Deadline
- Positive days = Time remaining
- Negative days = Past deadline
Identifying Problems
Budget vs Progress Mismatch

| 50% | 50% | On track |
| 70% | 50% | Budget burning faster than progress |
| 50% | 70% | Ahead of schedule |
When budget usage exceeds progress, the project may go over budget.
Early Warning Signs
- Warning status projects: Review now, not later
- Critical status projects: Immediate attention needed
- Over budget projects: Scope or budget adjustment required

Weekly review
- Check all Warning projects
- Compare budget usage vs task progress
- Identify any deadlines at risk
What to do for at-risk projects

| Approaching budget limit | Reduce remaining scope, add budget, or accept overrun |
| Past deadline | Communicate with client, adjust timeline expectations |
| Over budget | Document for future estimates, discuss with client |
