Getting Started with GitScrum Studio for Android
GitScrum Studio puts your entire project management workflow on your Android device. Manage Kanban boards, track time, review notifications, capture notes, and collaborate with your team — all from your phone.
The Problem This Solves
When you are away from your desk — in meetings, commuting, or traveling — project management should not pause. Tasks need status updates, timers need starting, and ideas need capturing. Opening a laptop for a 10-second interaction is inefficient.
GitScrum Studio for Android gives you instant access to your workspaces and projects. Quick interactions that take seconds — start a timer, check a notification, create a task — belong on your phone.
What You Are Looking At
After signing in, the app shows two main areas:
Bottom tabs: Home (project list) and Time Tracking (active timer and upcoming tasks).
Drawer menu: Slide from the left edge to access notifications, NoteVault, settings, and quick create actions.
The Home tab displays project cards for your current workspace. Tap a project to see its Kanban board with all columns and tasks.

Tap any task card on the board. The task detail screen provides full editing: title, description, workflow, assignees, labels, checklists, comments, attachments, and timer controls.
Back Navigation
Use the Android back button or the back arrow in the header to return to the previous screen.
Pull to Refresh
Pull down from the top of any list to reload data. This works on the project list, task list, notifications, and NoteVault.
Pro Tips (Once You Are Comfortable)
- Quick create from drawer: The drawer's Create Task shortcut is the fastest way to capture a task. It walks through workspace → project → column → title in a guided flow.
- Theme exploration: Try several themes to find one that works well on your screen. Mobile screens benefit from high-contrast themes like Dracula or One Dark Pro.
- Timer from task: Open a task and start the timer. The Time Tracking tab always shows your active timer status.
- Notifications as inbox: Treat notifications as your mobile inbox. Tap to navigate directly to the task, review, and act.
Permissions
The app respects your GitScrum account permissions:
- Agency Owners and Managers: Full access to all features, project settings, and team data
- Developers: Can manage tasks, log time, and use collaboration tools
- Clients: View access only (if granted project access)
If a feature appears disabled or a screen shows limited data, check your project role in the GitScrum web application.
