Profile

Your profile is your identity across GitScrum — visible to teammates, clients, and collaborators. Edit your personal information and change your password directly from the mobile app.

The Problem This Solves

Profile updates should be quick. When you join a new team, change roles, or need to update your contact details, you should not need to find a computer. The mobile profile screen makes personal data management a 30-second task.

What You Are Looking At

Open the drawer menu and tap Profile. The profile screen shows:

  • Avatar — your profile photo
  • Name — your display name
  • Username — your unique identifier
  • Headline — your role or title (e.g., "Senior Developer")
  • Summary — a brief bio
  • Location — your city or region
  • Password section — change your account password

Editing Your Profile

Personal Information

  1. Open the drawer and tap Profile
  2. Tap any field to edit it:
  • Name — your display name visible to teammates
  • Username — your unique @handle
  • Headline — your role or position
  • Summary — a brief description about you
  • Location — where you are based
  1. Changes auto-save when you move to the next field

Changing Your Password

  1. Scroll to the password section
  2. Enter your current password
  3. Enter the new password (minimum 6 characters)
  4. Confirm the new password
  5. Save

Profile Synchronization

Profile changes sync immediately across all platforms:

  • Updated name appears in task comments, assignments, and mentions on the web application
  • Your username updates across all project member lists
  • Changes are visible to teammates in real time

Pro Tips (Once You Are Comfortable)

  • Headline for context: Use the headline to show your current role or focus area. Team members who do not know you well will appreciate the context.
  • Location for timezone context: Adding your location helps distributed teams understand your working hours.
  • Password hygiene: Change your password periodically. The mobile app makes it a quick operation.

Sign Out

To sign out of the app:

  1. Open the drawer and go to Profile
  2. Use the sign-out option
  3. Your stored credentials are cleared

You will need to sign in again on your next app launch.
