The Problem This Solves
Staring at a screen that does not suit your visual preferences creates friction. Developers and managers spend hours in project management tools. A theme that matches your preferred code editor reduces visual fatigue and creates a familiar environment.

Choosing a Theme
By Visual Preference
Browse the grid and look at the color swatches. Each swatch shows the key colors you will see throughout the app.
By Editor Match
If you use a specific theme in VS Code, choose the same one in GitScrum Studio for visual consistency across your tools.
Dark vs Light
Each theme card shows a Dark or Light badge. Choose based on your environment:
- Dark themes: Better for low-light environments, easier on eyes during long sessions
- Light themes: Better visibility in bright environments, outdoor use
Applying a Theme
- Open the drawer menu
- Tap Theme Selector
- Tap any theme card
- The entire app updates instantly
The selected theme persists across sessions. It is saved locally on your device.
Pro Tips (Once You Are Comfortable)
- Match your editor: Use the same theme across VS Code, the GitScrum VS Code extension, and the mobile app for a coherent visual experience.
- Try multiple themes: Experiment with different themes for different times of day. Some people prefer darker themes at night and lighter themes during the day.
- Catppuccin for variety: The Catppuccin group has four variants (Mocha, Macchiato, Frappé, Latte) spanning dark to light — try them all to find your preference.
- High contrast for mobile: On smaller screens, high-contrast themes like Dracula, One Dark Pro Darker, or GitHub Dark work well for readability.
