GitScrum Studio for Android
Full project management in your pocket. No laptop required.
GitScrum Studio is an Android app that puts your workspaces, Kanban boards, task management, time tracking, NoteVault, and real-time notifications on your phone. It connects to your GitScrum account and syncs with the web application, VS Code extension, and Chrome extension in real time.
The Problem This Solves
Project management should not stop when you leave your desk. Whether you are commuting, in a meeting, or away from your computer, tasks keep moving. Deadlines arrive, teammates comment, timers need starting or stopping.
GitScrum Studio for Android gives you full access to your projects from anywhere. Check the board during a standup, start a timer when you pick up a task, review comments on the go, and capture ideas in NoteVault — all from your phone.
What the App Does
Task Management
View, create, and edit tasks with full detail: title, description, workflow status, assignees, labels, checklists, comments, and attachments. The task detail screen gives you every field available in the web application.
Kanban Board
Each project includes a Kanban board with columns representing workflow stages. Switch between board and list views. Search tasks, filter by workflow column, manage multiple boards, and toggle archived tasks.
Time Tracking
Start and stop timers directly from any task or from the dedicated Time Tracking tab. The app shows live elapsed time and handles timer conflicts when switching between tasks. Stopping a timer automatically logs the time entry.
Projects and Workspaces
Browse projects within your workspaces. Create new projects and workspaces. Manage project settings including name, description, status, and privacy.
NoteVault
A personal note-taking workspace organized by folders. Create rich-text notes with color coding, move notes between folders, and manage your knowledge base from your phone.
Notifications
Grouped notifications (Today, Yesterday, This Week, Older) with unread indicators. Tap any notification to jump directly to the related task.
Real-Time Updates
The app connects via WebSocket (Laravel Reverb) for live updates. Project changes, task movements, timer events, and notifications arrive instantly without refreshing.
54 IDE-Inspired Themes
Choose from 54 themes organized in 23 groups — from GitScrum's default dark theme to favorites like Dracula, One Dark Pro, Tokyo Night, Nord, Catppuccin, GitHub, and many more. Each theme includes carefully tuned color tokens for readability.
Platform Availability
GitScrum Studio is currently available for Android on the Google Play Store.
How It Connects
The mobile app uses the same GitScrum API as the web application and VS Code extension. Changes you make on your phone appear instantly across all platforms:
- Create a task on your phone → it appears on the board in the web app
- Start a timer on your phone → the web app shows the running timer
- Add a comment on your phone → teammates see it in VS Code or the browser
Your account, workspaces, projects, and data are fully synchronized.
Pro Tips (Once You Are Comfortable)
- Timer on the go: Start the timer when you pick up a task, even from your phone. Time entries sync with the web application's time tracking reports.
- Quick task capture: Use the quick create flow to capture tasks while they are fresh — during meetings, commutes, or conversations.
- NoteVault as scratch pad: Create notes for ideas, meeting summaries, or technical decisions. They are always available across all your workspaces.
- Theme matching: Use the same theme on mobile and in VS Code for a consistent visual experience.
