Kanban Board

The Kanban board is the visual center of each project. It shows all tasks organized by workflow columns — giving you a complete picture of project progress from your phone.

The Problem This Solves

During standups, quick check-ins, or status reviews, you need to see the board. Without mobile access, you either open a laptop or rely on someone else to share their screen. The mobile Kanban board puts the full visual layout in your hand.

What You Are Looking At

When you open a project from the Home tab, you see the Kanban board. It contains:

Header area: Project name, search bar, workflow filter, and board selector.

Board columns: Horizontally scrollable columns representing workflow stages (e.g., To Do, In Progress, Done). Each column shows its task cards.

Task cards: Each card shows the task title, assignees, labels, and key metadata. Tap a card to open the full task detail screen.

Board Navigation

Scrolling

  • Horizontal: Swipe left and right to navigate between columns
  • Vertical: Scroll up and down within a column to see all its tasks

View Modes

Switch between Board view (columns side by side) and List view (tasks in a flat list grouped by column).

Searching Tasks

Tap the search icon in the header area. Type a keyword to filter tasks across all columns. The board updates in real time as you type, showing only matching tasks.

Workflow Filter

Tap the workflow filter to show tasks from a specific column only. This is useful when you want to focus on one stage (e.g., show only "In Progress" tasks).

Board Management

Projects can have multiple boards. Use the board selector to switch between them. Each board maintains its own set of workflow columns and tasks.

Archived Tasks

Toggle the archive filter to view tasks that have been archived. Archived tasks appear with a visual indicator distinguishing them from active tasks.

Creating Tasks from the Board

  1. Tap the + button on the board screen
  2. Select the target workflow column
  3. Enter the task title and optional description
  4. Tap Create

The new task card appears immediately in the selected column.

Real-Time Updates

The board syncs via WebSocket. When a teammate:

  • Creates a task → the card appears on your board
  • Moves a task to another column → the card moves on your board
  • Deletes a task → the card disappears from your board

No need to manually refresh — though pull-to-refresh is available if needed.

Pro Tips (Once You Are Comfortable)

  • Quick scan during standups: Hold your phone horizontal for a wider view of columns during team meetings.
  • Search for your tasks: Type your name in the search to quickly find all tasks assigned to you.
  • Filter for focus: Use the workflow filter to focus on "In Progress" tasks when you want to see what your team is actively working on.
  • Multiple boards: If your project uses multiple boards (e.g., Frontend Board, Backend Board), switch between them to see different workstreams.

Permissions

  • Agency Owners and Managers: Full board access, task creation and management
  • Developers: View board, create and manage tasks
  • Clients: View-only access to the board (if granted project access)
