Getting Started
GitScrum Studio is a project management platform built for development teams. This guide covers account creation, authentication, and initial workspace setup.

| Manager | Project creation, team management, reports |
| Developer | Task management, time tracking, comments |
| Client | View-only access via ClientFlow portal |

Mastering keyboard shortcuts significantly improves your productivity when working with GitScrum daily. The quick search command (Cmd/Ctrl + K) is particularly powerful, allowing you to find tasks, projects, and team members without using the mouse.
Understanding the GitScrum Interface
Workspace Dashboard
After login, you land on the Workspace Dashboard. This central hub shows:
- Active Projects: Quick access tiles for projects you work on
- Recent Activity: Latest updates from team members
- Your Tasks: Upcoming deadlines and assigned items
- Team Overview: Who's online and their current focus
Navigation Structure
GitScrum uses a consistent navigation pattern:
- Top Header: Workspace selector, search, notifications, profile
- Left Sidebar: Primary navigation for workspace features
- Main Content: Dynamic area showing selected feature
- Right Panel: Contextual information and quick actions (when applicable)
Project Context
When inside a project, the navigation adapts to show project-specific options:
- Kanban Board: Visual task management
- User Stories: Backlog and feature planning
- Sprints: Iteration planning (if enabled)
- Wiki: Project documentation
- Settings: Project configuration

Troubleshooting First-Time Issues
Cannot Access Workspace
If you cannot see your workspace after login:
- Verify you accepted the invitation email
- Check you're using the correct login method (OAuth vs email)
- Contact the workspace owner to resend invitation
- Ensure the invitation hasn't expired (7-day limit)
OAuth Connection Failed
If Google or GitHub login fails:
- Clear browser cookies for GitScrum
- Try a different browser
- Disable browser extensions temporarily
- Check if your organization blocks OAuth apps
Email Verification Not Received
If the verification email doesn't arrive:
- Check spam/junk folders
- Add noreply@gitscrum.com to contacts
- Request a new verification email from login page
- Verify the email address has no typos
Mobile Access
GitScrum is fully responsive and works on mobile browsers. While there's no dedicated mobile app, you can:
- Add GitScrum to your home screen for quick access
- Receive push notifications through your browser
- Update task statuses while on the go
- Review team activity and comments
- Log time from mobile devices
For the best mobile experience, we recommend Chrome on Android or Safari on iOS.
System Requirements
GitScrum runs in modern browsers:
- Chrome 90+
- Firefox 88+
- Safari 14+
- Edge 90+
JavaScript must be enabled. We recommend a screen resolution of 1280×720 or higher for optimal experience. GitScrum uses responsive design, so it adapts to smaller screens, but some advanced features work best on larger displays.
Network Requirements
GitScrum requires a stable internet connection. The platform uses real-time updates, so:
- Minimum 1 Mbps connection recommended
- Websockets must not be blocked by firewalls
- Corporate proxy settings may require configuration
